# Changelog

> What's stable, what's in preview, and what changed in Photon's docs and APIs.

Every page shows when it was last updated. This page says what's stable, and lists the changes that matter to integrators.

## What's stable

| | Status | Notes |
| - | - | - |
| [Prescribe app](/docs/prescribe/app) | Stable in Neutron | `rx.neutron.health` in the sandbox. Production, `rx.new`, is in private preview: ask your Photon contact for access. |
| [Deep links](/docs/prescribe/app/deep-links) | Stable | No credentials needed. |
| [iframe](/docs/prescribe/embed/iframe) | Stable | Needs your Application `client_id`, in a URL built by `frame()`. |
| [React components](/docs/prescribe/embed/react) | Coming soon | ⚠️ `@photon-rx/react` isn't published to npm yet. |
| [JavaScript client](/docs/prescribe/embed/javascript) | Coming soon | ⚠️ `@photon-rx/core` isn't published to npm yet. |
| [GraphQL](/docs/network/graphql) | Stable in Neutron | ⚠️ Production, `network.photon.health/graphql`, isn't live yet. |
| [Webhooks](/docs/network/webhooks) | Stable | Signed with HMAC-SHA256. |
| [MCP](/docs/network/mcp) | Available in Neutron | `ai.neutron.health` in the sandbox. Production, `ai.photon.health`, is in private preview: ask your Photon contact for access. Tools will change when MCP moves to `network.<env>.health/mcp`. |
| Elements | Deprecated | Deprecated on January 1, 2027, and fully sunset by mid-2027. See [Migrate from Elements](/docs/prescribe/embed/migrate-from-elements). |

Durable concepts, such as [records and the send](/docs/architecture), [permissions](/docs/authentication#permissions) and [plans](/docs/use-cases), change rarely. Anything marked ⚠️ or **Preview** is still moving.

## Changes

<Update label="October 11, 2026" tags={["Prescribe"]}>
  * [Deep links](/docs/prescribe/app/deep-links) and [iframe](/docs/prescribe/embed/iframe) URLs carry Photon ids only, in plain query parameters: `patient`, `rx`, `template`, `med`, `order` and `org`. They never carry patient details. `url()` and `frame()` refuse anything that isn't an id, so sync details first and link by id.
  * Orders take a card per `rx`, `template` and `med`. A prescription takes one of them. An existing order also takes new lines: `/order/ord_…?rx=rx_…`.
  * An id Photon doesn't have in the prescriber's organization shows **not found** on its own card. The rest of the link still opens.
  * A template becomes a prescription once the order or prescription has a patient. Until then, its card is empty.
  * Links from before this change no longer open.
</Update>

<Update label="October 11, 2026" tags={["Get started"]}>
  * The dashboard page is now an [Admin](/docs/admin) section, with a page each for [Credentials](/docs/admin/credentials), [Team](/docs/admin/team) and [Catalog and templates](/docs/admin/catalog).
  * [Team](/docs/admin/team#roles) describes every role: what it's for, what it can do and what it can't.
  * The changelog moved to its own **Resources** section.
</Update>

<Update label="October 11, 2026" tags={["Prescribe", "Network"]}>
  * The sandbox [Prescribe app](/docs/prescribe/app), `rx.neutron.health`, is live. Deep links and the iframe work there too.
  * Production Prescribe, at `rx.new`, is in private preview. To get access, ask your Photon contact.
  * [MCP](/docs/network/mcp) is open to every Neutron account at `ai.neutron.health`. Production MCP, at `ai.photon.health`, is in private preview.
  * Corrected the Elements dates: it's deprecated on January 1, 2027, and fully sunset by mid-2027. See [Migrate from Elements](/docs/prescribe/embed/migrate-from-elements).
</Update>

<Update label="October 9, 2026" tags={["Prescribe"]}>
  * The [iframe](/docs/prescribe/embed/iframe) needs your Application `client_id`. Build its URL with `frame()` from the [JavaScript client](/docs/prescribe/embed/javascript), which puts it in. A URL written by hand shows **This link can't be embedded**. Add every domain that shows the iframe, and the Prescribe app's domain, to your credential's allowed URLs.
  * Only the iframe's `/embed` pages load in another site's frame. The Prescribe app's other pages refuse.
  * [Deep links](/docs/prescribe/app/deep-links) never carry a `client_id`, so you can share them with any prescriber.
  * Links point to the environment's Prescribe app by default, so `appUrl` is optional. `photon({ organization })` puts your organization on every link, so prescribers skip the organization picker.
  * The JavaScript client refuses a `client_secret` in a browser.
</Update>

<Update label="October 9, 2026" tags={["Get started"]}>
  * New [Use cases](/docs/use-cases) page: what providers, clinics and platforms build, and what each plan unlocks.
  * [From draft to pharmacy](/docs/architecture#from-draft-to-pharmacy) explains each step after you create a record, and which one sends.
  * [Which host and credential](/docs/environments#which-host-and-credential) maps each job to its host, credential and plan.
  * [What's different in Neutron](/docs/environments#whats-different-in-neutron) lists how the sandbox differs from production.
  * Pages now show when they were last updated.
</Update>

<Update label="October 8, 2026" tags={["Prescribe"]}>
  * Prescribe has two sections: [App](/docs/prescribe/app), for Photon's own web app and deep links, and [Embed](/docs/prescribe/embed), for putting Prescribe in your product.
  * Production prescribing moved to `rx.new`.
  * New [Dashboard](/docs/admin) page for credentials, team, catalog and templates.
  * Elements will be deprecated on January 1, 2027, and fully sunset by mid-2027. See [Migrate from Elements](/docs/prescribe/embed/migrate-from-elements).
</Update>

<Update label="October 8, 2026" tags={["Network"]}>
  * Docs rebuilt around two products: Prescribe for the prescribing UI, and [Network](/docs/network/overview) for GraphQL, MCP and webhooks.
  * [Webhooks](/docs/network/webhooks) documented, with signature verification and every [event](/docs/network/webhooks/events).
